StanleyStanley Watson
Many years gainfully employed before years of homelessness. From Alabama, lived in New Orleans before coming to Houston. When Stanley was working he rode four buses and it took two hours for him to get to his job. And his co-workers complained to him about traffic jams they encountered. Others people in the past that took pictures of him while he sat in the park said he looks like Morgan Freeman, but he disagrees with it. Stanley is very intelligent, well spoken, well educated, kind, gentle and has a loving spirit, very knowledgeable in many subjects and full of joy and a beautiful smile. Mr. Stanley Watson has joy that the world did not give him and the world can not take away from him. |

Many of the people that know Charlie call her by both her first and last name, "Charlie-Bird." Homeless and alone last year, Charlie is now one of Houston's most beloved homeless advocates. She is one of the founders of a project that provides more than one thousand free meals to Houston's homeless each month.

Wayne |
Someone attacked Wayne by surprise, causing some painful injuries to his eye. In these three shots he was showing Burnell the damage to his face. With no real way to defend themselves while they are sick or asleep, the homeless make easy targets for criminals.

The Homeless Women of Houston |
America has more homeless women than any other Industrialized nation on earth, making up nearly a quarter of all homeless individuals on the streets. Women are particularly vulnerable to exploitation, physical assault and social isolation as a result of ever having been homeless.
